Welcome to the Endeavor Health Neurosciences Institute’s Advanced Neurosciences Center. While you may be uneasy or even frightened about the circumstances that brought you to us, know that you are in the best hands. Your entire team is here for you, and with you, from the moment you walk in the door. Our goals are to ease your anxiety, eliminate any roadblocks to the care you need, and ensure that you feel empowered to make decisions.

In addition to skilled surgeons and physicians who will customize a care plan that’s just right for you, your team includes nurses, case managers, and physician assistants. We are highly trained, experienced, and compassionate professionals who specialize in guiding patients and their families through every step of their medical journey. No matter how complex the condition, we are here to answer your questions and make any necessary arrangements for your care, from diagnosis and treatment-planning, to recovery and rehabilitation, and beyond.

Greta Kassam, BSN

VP, Patient and Provider Experience and Workflow
Greta is here to help ease patients’ and families’ anxiety—assuring all who enter that they are in good hands and will have everything they need throughout their care journey. Greta guides families through the care process, even providing detailed updates during surgeries. She is a liaison between the patient, family, and physicians, making sure every question is answered.

Maria Martinez

Shivani Patel, PA

Shivani Patel has been dedicated to the medical field since 2019, starting as a certified nursing assistant and advancing to become a physician assistant in 2023. She holds an undergraduate degree in neurobiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a graduate degree from The College of St. Scholastica. Specializing in spine surgery, she has gained invaluable experience working alongside a skilled team. She excels in providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Drawing from her own background, she is committed to bringing awareness and ensuring high-quality care for underserved communities. Shivani aims to work as a key member of a cohesive team, easing stress for patients facing difficult health situations.

Chuck Prybylowksk, PA

Chuck Prybylowski completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from St. Anthony College of Nursing in Rockford, IL. He went on to work as a nurse in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department. While working nights full time, he obtained his Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois. His nurse practitioner experience began in primary care, which has since expanded into orthopedics and neurosurgery. He continues to be dedicated to the service of others in the surrounding community and emphasizes the importance of health / wellness.

Ashley Bos, APN

Ashley Bos has worked in the medical field since 2003 and has been a nurse practitioner since 2016. She received her undergraduate degree at Northern Illinois University and her graduate degree at Lewis University. She has practiced pain management and neurosurgery for over 7 years. Ashley’s goal is for active engagement in a collaborative medical team to provide superior, compassionate neurological care for her patients.

Jeslyn Lukose, PA-C

Jeslyn Lukose has worked in the medical field since 2013 as a Certified Registered Nurse. She has been a Nurse Practitioner since 2020. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received her Nursing degrees from Olivet Nazarene University for undergraduate and graduate studies. She has worked in primary care through all facets of life and aims to work as a member of a cohesive team and shoulder some of the stress of patients going through difficult situations. In her free time, Jeslyn enjoys gardening and sewing.

Lauren Birschbach, PA-C 

Lead Advanced Practice Provider
After graduating with her Bachelor of Science from The University of Iowa in Human Physiology and Psychology, Lauren completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Lauren started her career as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant in 2017 before joining the Neurosurgery team at NCH in 2023. She aims to educate and support patients and families through their neurosurgical journeys.

Samreen Hussain, PA-C

Samreen discovered her passion for ENT while working as a medical assistant in 2020. She received her undergraduate degree at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She hopes to create an environment where patients are involved in decision making regarding their care.

Susan Hyde, PA-C

Susan began work as a Physician Assistant in 2018 in North Carolina before moving to put down roots in Illinois. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a Master’s degree from South College in Knoxville, Tennessee. Susan believes that quality health care is a human right that blooms brightest with compassion and mutual respect between patients and providers.

Clayton Kline, PA-C

Clayton has worked in medicine since 2016 after finishing his undergraduate degree from the College of Idaho. He trained and received his graduate degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2020. He has practiced in emergency medicine and neurosurgery. Clayton strives to provide high quality patient care while working within a team of dedicated team-members to help foster a safe, trusting, and welcoming environment.

Morgan Manka, PA-C

Neurosurgery Physician Assistant
Morgan attended the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign and received her Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Biology and minor in Chemistry. After college, she worked at NorthShore Skokie Hospital as an Emergency Department. Technician for 1.5 years and then at Advocate Aurora Condell Emergency Department. She received her Master in Physician Assistant Studies from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois in 2022. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports such as softball and volleyball or walking the Chicago Lakefront. She has been passionate about providing high quality patient care and education in addition to developing a strong foundation and support system in the neurosciences department.

Trupti Patel, PA-C

Trupti has worked in the medical field since the age of 18. She started as a patient care technician and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Loyola University in Chicago in 2017. She then pursued a master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University and became a nurse practitioner in 2020. Trupti has practiced as an Infectious disease nurse practitioner and currently works in critical care. Trupti’s goal is to provide high quality care and unwavering support to her patients and their loved ones. 

Kimberly Russell, PA-C

Kimberly has worked in the medical field since 1999 and has been a physician assistant since 2023. She received her undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University and her graduate degree from North Central College.

Erin Schilling MSN, BSN, APRN-BC

Erin has been practicing nursing for over 25 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago in 1996 and her Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola in 2001. She has specialized in the care of the spine patient population for over 20 years. She enjoys being a part of helping patients get back to a better functional status and quality of life after spinal surgery. In her free time, Erin likes to spend time with her husband and children, take her dog for walks and practice yoga as much as she can. 

Kelsey Smith, PA-C

Advanced Practice Provider
Kelsey has worked in the medical field since 2008 and has been a physician assistant since 2014. She received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and her graduate degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She has practiced neurosurgery, endocrinology and ENT. Kelsey aims to work as a member of a cohesive team and shoulder some of the stress for patients going through difficult situations.
